It is mid-summer in Japan, rainy season is over, and it is hot! Yesterday after service we traveled to Tama river and celebrated the baptism of a young girl in our church. In Japan it is close to their Obon holiday because of this the place we normally go to would be overwhelmed with people. Therefore we decided to travel a bit further up river close to Ikubasata. Everyone was able to find parking and soon the bbq and baptism was underway.
Many of the kids had fun swimming in the river and others even enjoyed jumping off a large rock into the river. Our friend Isaku traveled from 2hrs away to help organise the bbq. We are grateful for his help and of all who helped set-up, car pool people, and clean up afterwards.
Congrats; may The Lord keep and help her to stay with The Lord till the end
